Summer Scrapbooking Albums

As of this writing, the kids are about a week and a half away from being free for the summer! I am excited. We always enjoy this time. At least until about the last 2 or 3 weeks when I am secretly ready for them to head back to school. Admit it, you feel the same! :)

I don't know about your kids, but mine have waaaaaay more energy than I do. They would love to bring out the scrapbooking supplies every day and get every single picture from birth put into a beautiful scrapbook. So, now that they are older, I am going to kill two birds with one stone. I have a plan!

This year I am going to get them each their own summer scrapbook album and let them put it together themselves. I will have them do a little journaling and put in their favorite pics. They can save tickets, goodies and whatever else they feel they need to include. Not only will I not have to put these together or have them gathering dust while on my "to do" list. But each one of my daughters will have something that is their own. Something meaningful. And a memory that is full of memories. They can put these together on the days I have too much work to do to get out. It will be a fun thing to do that will keep them busy! Win/Win!

School Scrapbooking Stickers, Die Cuts and more!

OK...OK!  This will be the last in this mini series of school-themed scrapbooking supplies.  School scrapbooking stickers and die-cuts are the finishing and special touches.  I just really want to stress that now is the time to get these books done.  It is always easier when everything is fresh in your mind.  And you will be amazed at how much quicker a page....and even a book....can be done when the memories are still fresh.  Don't forget to allow your child to complete a school scrapbook page or two!  It may not be perfect, but it will be the page you cherish the most later, after they have grown and moved away.  The imperfections will make it all the better!  So, don't fret.  These pages should be fun.
